China - Interview with Christiane

JW: Why did you go to China?

CD: I went to China to get Bibles to people who are starving for God's Word; to experience a different culture; to develop relationships with my peers and teachers that I do not think could ever happen elsewhere; to experience God on a different level.

JW: What was the best thing about this trip?

CD: By far, the best thing was taking the Bibles! I was carrying a bag that someone else had packed and it was one of the heaviest. Some how I managed! My heart would not stop pounding all the time during the delivery. It was such a rush. I felt like I was watching a movie with me in it!

JW: What did you miss most when you were in China?

CD: A piece of good steak.

JW: If you could have anything to eat right now, what would it be?

CD: Anything but watermelon! We had watermelon as the 'sweet' for every scheduled meal on our tours!

JW: What do you miss most about China?

CD: The awesome sense of China's long and spectacular history was everywhere. They treasure their history and have just so much of it. Even the TV soapies are set in China's historical past.

JW: What advice would you give to someone who wanted to help persecuted Christians?

CD: I would advise people not to look for God to move with them in a loud or spectacular way, but to look for God working with them in quiet, little ways.

JW: Are there Bibles in China or not?

CD: I know for sure that there are more since I went!
